The deal, in plain language.

A City Edition or State Edition is a PDF for your own use: read it on any device, print it for yourself, carry it. Please don’t resell it, post it publicly, or strip our name off it. Your first City Edition is complimentary, one per account. During our founding year you can earn further editions by passing India Unfolded on (two travelers who claim their first editions through your link earn you one credit) or by contributing a correction we accept; credits are personal, carry no cash value, cannot be transferred or sold, and we may reverse a credit that was earned through duplicate or fraudulent accounts. Prices for the rest are shown in your currency and can change without notice, but never for a guide you have already bought.

If a guide you paid for isn’t what you expected, write within 14 days and we refund it — no form, no argument. We ask only that you tell us why, so the next edition is better.

Ordering opens when we say it does; until then, nothing on the site is a sale. When it opens: you approve a preview before anything prints; printed books are made to order and can’t be returned unless damaged or misprinted, in which case we reprint free. You keep all rights to your photographs; you give us permission to print them in your book only.

We check fees, hours and history against official and reputable sources and date what we publish; ≈ marks values that move. Things change faster than any book — a fee, a closure, a road. We fix errors within days of learning of them, but we can’t be liable for a trip planned on a detail that changed. Shot List directions are creative direction, labelled curated until field-checked; you are responsible for your own safety when following them.

Feedback, corrections and album photographs stay yours. By sending a correction you let us use it in future editions; by uploading a photograph you let us store and print it for you. We never use your photographs anywhere else without asking.
